Minor updates were deployed to the QO-100 Dx Club today, with changes to our Grid Map
A small code sprint this Sunday just to make up for the bad HF propagation this weekend produced a minor change in our website.
Results > Grid Map
We now color code the grids to reflect the number os QSOs recorded in that grid: grids with a darker tone of orange have more QSOs than grids with a lighter tone. This allows you to see at a glance if a grid has less activity than it’s neighbors.
This change was based on a suggestion from a member, and although it doesn’t reflect exactly the requested feature the result ends up being similar. The request was to color code the grids with with red/orange/yellow/green the number of members that had worked the grid, but we felt that maybe that would make more sense in a different page. Also, the use of different colors in this context could raise doubt to it’s meaning.

The color of the grids was changed to keep it coherent with the global Grid Map.
